1. Purposes & Legal Bases
- Website provision (server operation, delivery of content, IT security) – legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Contact requests via form/email/phone – contract performance or steps prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); additionally legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., retention) – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
2. Hosting & Processors
This website is hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., USA) acting as our processor. Technical log data may be processed and—depending on infrastructure—transferred to third countries (in particular the USA). We conclude a data processing agreement and rely on appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses; additional measures as appropriate). Where a provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, this can be used additionally.
3. Server Log Files
When you access our pages, certain information is automatically collected (e.g., IP address in truncated/truncatable form, date/time, requested URL, referrer URL, user agent). Processing is necessary for technical provision, stability and IT security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is usually stored only briefly and then deleted or anonymised, unless longer storage is required for evidence purposes.
4. Contact Form & Communication
When using the contact form, we process the data you enter (e.g., name, email, message, optional phone/company) to handle your request and any follow-up communication (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data is stored only as long as necessary to process your request and as required by law. The same applies to email/phone contact.
5. Cookies & External Content
- Cookies: We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. No consent banner is currently required. Technically necessary cookies—if used—serve only to operate the site.
- Fonts: Roboto Condensed is hosted locally; there is no request to Google’s servers.
- External links: When following external links (e.g., LinkedIn), the privacy notices of the respective providers apply.
6. Recipients / Categories of Recipients
- IT/hosting service providers (especially Netlify) as processors.
- Communication/email providers where necessary to handle requests.
- Public authorities where we are legally obliged.
7. Storage Period
We process personal data only as long as required for the purposes stated. Statutory retention periods (e.g., under commercial/tax law) remain unaffected. Afterwards, data is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your Rights
Subject to legal prerequisites, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
9. Obligation to Provide Data
Providing your data is necessary when using the contact form; otherwise we cannot process your request. For purely informational use of the website, no active provision is required.
10. Data Security
We use technical and organisational measures (including TLS encryption) to protect your data against loss, manipulation, and unauthorised access.
11. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy to reflect changes in law or our services.
